Our Story
Bremer Orthotics & Prosthetics has been shaping lives since 1934, when founder Dr. Wilmore Bremer opened one of the first certified orthotics and prosthetics facilities in the country. A true trailblazer, he helped establish the American Board for Certification and the American Orthotics and Prosthetic Association, setting new standards in patient care.
His son, Ross Bremer, continued this legacy of innovation—co-founding Bremer Medical, Inc. and creating the patented VertAlign and Comfalign Spinal Systems, now used nationwide in spinal recovery.
Nearly a century later, our passion for progress hasn’t wavered.
Today, Bremer is proudly led by third-generation owner Todd Norton, L/CP, FAAOP, a nationally recognized prosthetist with over 32 years of experience. Todd is known for pushing the boundaries of care in microprocessor knees, osseointegration, and complex limb loss solutions—all while keeping patients at the heart of every decision.
Todd’s belief is simple yet powerful: “While we all offer the latest technology, we base decisions on what works best for each patient. Preferences and tolerance matter—and those change over time. Our job is to meet patients where they are and grow with them.”
We believe that every journey deserves personalized support, compassionate expertise, and access to the most advanced technology available.
From legacy to leadership, Bremer is more than a provider—we’re your partner in moving forward with strength, confidence, and care that lasts a lifetime.
